MODEL PORTFOLIO

Back in 2014 I decided to do some photography utilizing models to create some composite work. This was inspired by a tree that I came across that looked as if a woman was imposed in the bark. It took some time to develop the process but I was really happy with the results. From there I started to make some headdresses and come up with some themes to create fantasy images as well as doing some standard shoots as well.

BLACK & WHITES
Black and White images always seam to hold a mystery that is often not revealed in the colour version

GENERAL GALLERIES

ASHLEA VIOLIN SHOOT
Fun shoot with Ashlea using a violin as the main prop in a dark and moody scene. Used smoke and slow shutter again for this project.
CHARITY-HEADDRESS SHOOT
Finally was able to complete this headdress shoot more that two years after making it. Model was Charity @chaz.model and makeup by @lmtartistry.
JADE-BUTTERFLY SHOOT
Here we have another composite butterfly shoot with Jade this time and a different style of wings. Again with different background and composite textures.
CAITLIN-HEADDRESS SHOOT
Another shoot with the wonderful Caitlin trying something a little different this time. Incorporating a headdress with a matching outfit.
JADE-HEADDRESS SHOOT
Here we have a headdress shoot, with Jade, that was built with the model as inspiration with her amazing tattoos and body jewellery.
AMBER-STUDIO SHOOT
Traditional studio shoot with Amber (@elastimodel) with a number of costume changes and a variety of lighting.
JADE-BLUR SHOOT
Another blur shoot but this time with Jade and trying a different lighting formula with fantastic results. A lot of movement in this style.
CAITLIN-CHAIR
simple shoot with a chair, some colourful fabric and shear material for contrast. Caitlin, once again, nailed the shoot.
ASHLEA-TUNNEL SHOOT
Outdoor shoot at the Swan View Tunnel with Ashlea to celebrate Halloween 2023. Worked well with the low light.
CAITLIN-BLUR SHOOT
Caitlin again nailed this studio slow shutter shoot which I am very happy with. Added a smoke machine to get a softer look.
CAITLIN-RIBBON SHOOT
Studio shoot with Caitlin for this ribbon inspired shoot. Very happy with the outcome of this project with the use of many props.
STEPH-FANTASY SHOOT
Studio shoot with Steph but this time we tried something a little different. Had a go at the makeup myself and am happy with it
STEPH-PHEONIX SHOOT
Studio shoot with Steph in a stunning blue dress and displaying the Phoenix tattoo on her back. Something a bit different.
CAITLIN-STRUGGLE INSIDE
Caitlin once again worked with me to create this composite depicting the struggle we all have inside from time to time.
CAITLIN-BROKEN BUTTERFLY
Caitlin posted an idea she wanted to do on Facebook so I reached out to her to do a shoot and these are the results.
NATALIE-GOLDEN VALLEY
Took an early morning trip down to the Golden Valley Tree Park
near Balingup in the South West of Western Australia.
ABBI-HEADDRESS SHOOT
Another in the Headdress Series. It has been a while since I did any of these and I had this Headdress for a long time. Along comes the remarkably talented Abbi.
ABBI-B&W SHOOT
took the opportunity to shoot a few black and whites with Abbi while we were doing the Headdress shoot on the day.
DANI-HATS SHOOT
A shoot I have been wanting to do for a while and had the opportunity to do with Dani Barker who absolutely nailed the poses in every way.
PAPARAZZI SHOOT
Had a fun shoot with Shannon and Dani at the Paparazzi selfie studio. Great location for a bit of themed photography with in house change.
STEPH-TRANSPARENT
Have been waiting some time to do this shoot and very happy with the results. A good selection for this style with my model Steph.
SHANNON-S&R ORCHIDS
Went for a mid week shoot to S&R Orchids with the beautiful Shannon, first shoot at the location and with this model.
STEPH-STUDIO
Another shoot with my beautiful niece Steph. This time we tried a new style going after an old times theme using a corset, skirt and some props to suit the general look of the period.
STEPH-STUDIO HEADDRESS
Back to work on my Headdress project with a new shoot with Steph based on a Medusa theme. Great makeup once again by Lauren from Twist Creativ.
NATALIE-BEACH SHOOT
Great session down at Bunbury back beach with Natalie. Weather conditions were not fantastic but we managed to create some good work.
UNDERWATER SERIES
This is something I have wanted to do for a while in mixing my underwater photography with my work with models.
MALVINITA-STUDIO CELLO SHOOT
Home studio shoot using a cello as a prop and low key lighting. Productive shoot using my new softbox and shooting with Malvinita again
MALVINITA-STUDIO
Home studio shoot using grey background and low key lighting. Had a great time shooting with different outfits and many different looks
STEPH-STUDIO SHOOT
First shoot with Steph but won't be the last. High Key in my home studio with a white paper background and a whole lot of lights
TAMA & SRIX-BALI
Had the honour to participate in the pre wedding celebrations of Tama and Srix in a beautiful and private location in Northern Bali.
HAYLEY-HEADDRESS II
second shoot with Hayley sporting another headress put together in my workshop thats a bit more dramatic than the last. Makeup again by Lauren Ranger of Twist Creativ.
KAYLA-STUDIO
Finally got around to having a shoot with my niece in my studio. Had a bit of fun for a couple of hours and got some great shots
ANTJE-DAY TRIP W.A.
a brief visit to Perth by German model Antje. A fantastic day out with a lot of fun and a few great images. A beautiful person on the inside as well as the outside.

A road trip through the countryside of Western Australia along with a few stops at some of my favourite places to shoot

Low key shoot with Michelle in my home studio. Trying out a few different lighting techniques with some new equipment I had recently acquired.

I was lucky enough to participate in a shoot with Renata while she was visiting in Perth in April 2016. We were able to create the hi key shots I was after

WELCOME
to my photography portfolio. I put this site together to highlight the many different aspects of my photography. These include images photographed in environments from the depths of the ocean to the hillsides of Western Australia or may capture the intimacy of a lost moment. I feel that a photograph can be interpreted in any number of ways by any number of people and this site is my interpretation. Photographers that I have met and those who I would like to meet have inspired many images found in the galleries on this site."
